11. Status Report on the Third Street Light Rail Project – INFORMATION
This item is included at the request of Commissioner Sophie Maxwell, and it is intended to provide the entire Board an opportunity to hear from the management of the Municipal Transportation Agency about the progress on service improvement on the T-Third, as well as on several other related issues discussed by the Plans and Programs Committee on April 10, including the status of the repairs of damaged light rail vehicles, preventive maintenance and other measures to ensure adequate vehicle availability and reduce system-wide service impacts, recruitment, training and deployment of LRV operators to reduce incidence of missed runs and reduce overtime costs, and measures being taken to address the operations problems and service delays at the intersections near  AT&T Park.
