Latest NewsMultilingual Sidewalk Parking FlyerThe NTP confirmed community concerns regarding illegal parking activity in the neighborhood, particularly parking on sidewalks. In a previous citywide effort, the San Francisco Department of Public Health and the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency partnered to develop educational materials about this issue. The project was a collaboration of these City agencies and the Senior Action Network, Walk San Francisco, and the Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired. As part of this project, multingual flyers were developed to help San Francisco residents educate one another about sidewalk parking. The flyer is available for download in two file formats. Final Report Now AvailableThe Final Report (PDF, 3.7MB) for the NTP is now available. The Authority Board approved the Final Report on June 29, 2010. The Final Report summarizes the study's planning process, technical and outreach activities, and the findings and recommendations of the NTP. Draft findings and recommendations were presented at the Community Roundtable in February 2010. Additional NTP materials and documents may be found on the Documents page. Community Roundtable - Materials Available in Multiple LanguagesOn February 16, the Transportation Authority and community partners in BVHP convened a Community Roundtable to discuss the initial findings of the NTP and potential solutions. Copies of the materials from this meeting are now available for download:
Study Fact Sheet Available in Multiple LanguagesThe project fact sheet for the NTP is available. The fact sheet is available for download in multiple languages: Existing Conditions AnalysisThe analysis and documentation of the neighborhood's current transportation system is a key first step in identifying transportation issues and constraints in the community. The Study Team is working to compile data available from other planning and implementation efforts in the area. This information will be complemented by public outreach activities to identify the most pressing transportation needs and issues for members of the BVHP community. Review of Past StudiesThe Study Team worked with agency partners to summarize the findings of other transportation-related planning efforts and projects in BVHP. This effort has provided insight into previously identified needs and will allow the NTP to build on work recently completed by other community groups and agencies.
