We have recently completed a round of outreach to seek input on how to prioritize transportation investments within the SFTP (Español, 中文). See more information on our baseline analysis of how San Francisco's future transportation
system would perform if we do not make any changes to the expected projects and
growth over the next 25 years, and on our analysis of how four different
packages of transportation projects and policies perform in achieving our goal
areas related to maintaining San Francisco's economic competitiveness, providing
world-class infrastructure, contributing to our city's livability, and ensuring

- Summer to Fall 2010-Phase 1 (Existing
and Future Conditions): Establish the policy context and draft goals; research
existing conditions and project future conditions.
- Winter to Summer 2011-Phase
2 (Issues and Options): Develop visioning scenarios; define needs, concerns and
relevant issues; brainstorm potential projects, initiatives and policy options.
- Fall to Winter 2011
(Prioritization Framework): Refine potential projects, policies and
initiatives; define and evaluate alternatives.
- Winter to Spring 2012
(Draft and Final Plan): Develop an implementation strategy; circulate a draft of the
SFTP for public review.
