The Transportation Authority is conducting the Vision Zero Freeway Ramps Study, which will identify near-term improvements to slow speeds and improve transportation safety at 11 freeway ramp locations in the Mission, Potrero Hill, Glen Park, Bayview, and Visitacion Valley.

Visit the project page for a list of the freeway ramps included in this study.

This study advances the 2022 San Francisco Streets and Freeways Strategy, which identified these freeway ramps for improvement because they have a history of collisions, are on or near the Vision Zero High Injury Network, and/or are in Equity Priority Communities.

Vision Zero is San Francisco’s commitment to end traffic fatalities and reduce severe injuries through policies, educational programs, street design efforts, as well as enforcement of traffic laws, with the ultimate goal of making our streets more livable and saving lives.

Give your feedback to help shape safety improvements. There are several ways to participate.

Share your feedback through a survey.

We want your feedback to help us develop safety improvements to slow speeds, reduce conflicts, and address the leading causes of crashes at freeway ramp locations.
Take the survey to give input on current challenges and priorities. Give your feedback by May 19.

The survey is available in English, Spanish, Chinese, and Filipino

Join us at a town hall meeting.

We are hosting three town hall events in May. You’ll get to meet the project team, share your input, and learn more about the improvements we are considering to improve safety at freeway ramps. Events are open to all, and registration is encouraged.

Tuesday, May 6 from 6 to 7:30 pm at the Potrero Hill Library Meeting Room
This event will cover freeway ramps in the Potrero / Mission area (Districts 9 and 10)

Wednesday, May 7 from 6 to 7:30 pm at Portola Library Meeting Room
This event will cover freeway ramps in the Bayshore area (Districts 9 and 10)

Thursday, May 15 from 5 to 6:30 pm at Ingleside Library Meeting Room
This event will cover freeway ramps in the Glen Park / Outer Mission area (Districts 7, 8, 11)
