London and Stockholm have been running their congestion pricing programs for more than a decade, and New York will soon become the first North American city to implement congestion pricing. This session will provide an overview of how congestion pricing in London and Stockholm was implemented, how it has worked to reduce congestion, and other program effects including on greenhouse gas emissions, and transit ridership. The presentation will also touch on how New York is setting up its congestion pricing program and how these cities and their programs may be similar or different compared to how congestion pricing might work in San Francisco.
This event is a voluntary information session for members of the Downtown Congestion Pricing Study Policy Advisory Committee. Information sessions are open to the public.
