The San Francisco County Transportation Authority (SFCTA) has been awarded a Certificate of Achievement from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.
This is the seventh consecutive year the Transportation Authority has been awarded the certificate.
"We are thankful to receive the highest form of recognition for governmental accounting and financial reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association for the seventh year in a row," said Transportation Authority Board Chair and District 8 Supervisor Rafael Mandelman."The GFOA award, combined with our agency’s AAA bond rating, demonstrates the team's dedication and excellence in transparency and stewardship of public funds."
The Certificate of Achievement was awarded to the Transportation Authority for its annual financial report for the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2023. The certificate was unanimously approved by a diverse committee of government financial reporting experts who judged agencies on their strict adherence to comprehensive reporting, and respective public engagement.
The Transportation Authority plans, funds, and delivers transportation projects to improve travel choices for residents, commuters, and visitors throughout San Francisco.
