Introduction

The SFMTA’s Sansome and Battery Connections Project will improve walking and bicycling between the Embarcadero and the Financial District by providing an alternative route parallel to the Embarcadero corridor. Upgrades funded by the Neighborhood Program include signage, signal adjustments and striping to improve crosswalks, new bike lanes on Sansome, Battery, Vallejo, and Davis streets, and an additional crosswalk at the intersection of The Embarcadero, Sansome, and Chestnut streets.
