BART held a toilet paper-cutting ceremony to celebrate the reopening of the Powell Station’s restrooms. We supported the Powell Modernization Project, which includes the restroom renovations, new lighting, and overall station improvements with funding from the half-cent sales tax for transportation.

The U.S. Department of Transportation also awarded an $18 million RAISE grant to the West Side Bridges replacement and seismic retrofit project on Yerba Buena Island.

Our board approved $925,000 in half-cent sales tax for transportation funds to support SFMTA’s Schools Engineering Program.
